Carotid Arterial System

Duplex imaging of the carotid arterial system with spectral analysis of the following vessels :

• Common Carotid Artery
• External Carotid Artery
• Internal Carotid Artery
• Right Subclavian Artery
• Vertebral Artery

When indicated a Limited Transcranial Doppler Examination may be performed.

Typically accepted diagnostic reasons for testing include, but are not limited to:

• Carotid Stenosis
• Hemiplegia/Hemiparesis
• TIA/CVA
• Bruit
• Visual Disturbance
• Ataxia
• Syncope
• Pre-OP CABG
